Pickled Eggs
Brief Description
Pickled eggs are traditionally made with hard boiled eggs, vinegar, salt and garlic. Many more variations are available now. One such recipe is given below.
Preparation Time 30 minutes Cooking Time 5 minutes Number of Serves 12 Ingredients For Pickled Eggs
- Eggs- 12
- Vinegar- 250 ml
- Water- 125 ml
- Coarse salt- 2 tsp
- Pickling spice- 2 tsp
- Sliced onion- 1 large
- Black peppercorns- ½ tsp
How To Make Pickled Eggs
- Boil eggs and once they are done remove from heat. Keep them in hot water for 10-12 minutes. Take them out of water and peel once they have cooled down. Now place them inside a jar.
- Now take a saucepan, pour water in it. Add vinegar, salt, onions, pickling spices and black peppercorns. Bring it all to a boil and then pour over the eggs till the jar is almost full. Top it with a couple of onion slices and completely seal the jars. Let it cool down before refrigerating for 3 days. After that it will be ready to be served.
