Gobhi Shalgam Gajar Aachar
Brief Description
Gobhi shalgam gajar da achaar is a famous North Indian pickle recipe which is really delicious in taste. It tastes good when served with paranthas or rotis. Follow this simple method to learn the preparation of this tasty pickle recipe.
Preparation Time 10 minutes Cooking Time 10 minutes Number of Serves 1 jar Ingredients For Gobhi Shalgam Gajar Aachar
- Vegetables (turnip, baby carrots and cauliflower florets)-five pd
- No of sliced and grinded garlic pieces-4
- No of sliced Ginger pieces-3
- One fourth Cup of pickle salt
- One fourth Cup of brown mustard seeds
- One fourth Cup of turmeric powder
- One fourth cup of cayenne powder
- Brown Sugar-one pd
- White distilled vinegar-two cups
- Canola oil-two cups
- One fourth cup of Fenugreek seeds
How To Make Gobhi Shalgam Gajar Aachar
- First remove the skin of the baby carrots and vertically divide it in 2 parts.
- Divide cauliflower in small flower pieces.
- Now remove the skin of turnip and divide in pieces of ¼ inch thickness.
- Now start boiling these chopped and sliced vegetables and leave it for cooling.
- Once the vegetable gets cool then dry these vegetable with paper cloth.
- Add all the left out ingredients in pan and stir it continuously and then heat it till the time the sugar completely melts in the pan.
- Now heat the mixture for 5mins and allow it to cool at room temp.
- Now add boiled vegetable in this mixture and mix it properly.
- Put this pickle mixture in glass containers and seal it properly.
- Keep these containers in a warm place for about 4 to 5 days and then your pickle recipe will be prepared.
