Brief Description
It is most popular breakfast dish. Even small kids also love to have this. Aloo paranthe is the easiest among all other parathas. You can have Aloo ka Parantha with chilled yogurt, Plain dahi, Pickle, or butter.
Ingredients of Potato Paratha
- Wheat Flour 2 cup
- Water 1 cup
- Boiled and Mashed Potatoes 2-3
- Red Chili Powder 1/4 tablespoon
- Chaat Masala 1 tablespoon
- Salt Acc to Taste
- Ghee or Oil
Total Preparation Time 15 minutes Total Cooking Time 25 minutes Servings 4 How to make Potato Paratha
- In a bowl mix whole wheat flour and water. Knead it properly to make dough.
- Keep aside dough for half an hour.
- Till prepare stuffing by mixing mashed potatoes, chili powder, salt, and chaat Masala properly.
- Make small balls from dough, give them a disc shape.
- Apply some oil in the middle of the disc and put 1 tablespoon of stuffing to it.
- Collect the edges of the disc and seal them by making ball again.
- Now again make a disc of the roll by dusting it with dry wheat flour.
- Preheat the griddle; place the paratha on the griddle.
- Cook the paratha by applying oil on the edges and on the surface.
- Cook till the color of both the sides’ changes to light golden brown.
- Now Parantha is ready to eat. Have it with spicy yogurt or pickle.

Some Useful Tips
- To make soft dough, use oil/ ghee.
- You can add other ingredients also to the stuffing like cumin seeds, rock salt, coriander leaves, etc to make it tastier.
- To these paratha, you can add other boiled veggies also like peas, carrot, French beans to make it more nutritious.
- Mash the potatoes properly. There should not be any pieces of potato; otherwise paratha will break while rolling.
