Brief Description
Palak ( spinach) Paratha is a nutritious and tasty dish which is made up of whole wheat flour and palak ( spinach). Palak is rich in iron. This nutritious and delicious Indian bread taste awesome with Aam ka aachar and yogurt.
Ingredients of Palak Paratha
- Spinach- 1 cup
- Whole Wheat Flour- 2 cups
- Finely Chopped Coriander Leaves -¼ cup
- Chili Powder- ¼ tablespoon
- Roasted Cumin Seeds - 1 tsp
- Roasted Carom Seeds- 1 tsp
- Finely Chopped Onion-1
- Green Chilies- 2
- Salt Acc to Taste
- Butter/ Oil as Per Requirement.
Total Preparation Time 15 minutes Total Cooking Time 25 minutes Servings 4 How to make Palak Paratha
- Add palak in boiled water in a pan. Let it soak for 4-5 minutes. Drain out all the water from the palak. Let palak be cool down.
- Make a fine paste of coriander leaves, green chilies, and palak
- Now add this paste, salt, carom and cumin seeds, chili powder, oil and salt to the wheat flour. Mix it well and mold it properly to make dough.
- Make small balls from dough and give them a disc shape.
- Repeat the entire process with the remaining dough.
- Preheat the tava and cook this paranthe as normally you do at home.
- Serve this crispy and tasty paratha with curd or any pickle.

- Till serving time covered the paratha.
- You can brush soe butter over it before serving.
- Have it with yogurt, pickle, or curry.
