Brief Description
Follow this recipe and learn how to make a dal paratha. It is very popular breakfast recipe which is very easy to prepare too.
Ingredients of Dal Paratha
- Wheat Flour - 1 cup
- Moong Dal- ½ cup
- Cumin Seeds- 1 tsp
- Red Chili Powder- 1/4 tsp
- Asafetida- Just A Pinch
- Turmeric Powder- just a pinch
- Finely Chopped Coriander Powder- 1 tbsp
- Finely Chopped Green Chilies- 2
- Salt as Needed
- Oil As Per Your Requirement
Total Preparation Time 15 minutes Total Cooking Time 25 minutes Servings 4 How to make Dal Paratha
- Make soft dough by using oil and water and flour.
- Cook the already soaked moong dal.
- Heat up a pan and then add some oil into it. Once oil has heated up add cumin seed and asafetida.
- When the seeds start spluttering add red chili powder, turmeric powder, chopped green chilies, cooked dal and salt to taste. Mix them well and keep it on till it becomes a dry mixture.
- Take small balls out of the dough and roll them into small puris.
- Put some of the dal stuffing on the puri and then close it by pinching it all together and roll it into a pranatha.
- Pot it on a already heated tawa and then cook it till both side are golden brown and brush with oil.
- It should be served hot with chutney, curd or curry.
