Brief Description
Follow this recipe and learn how to make a carrot paratha. It is very popular breakfast recipe which goes well with pickles and curd.
Ingredients of Carrot Paratha
- 2 cups of Wheat Flour
- 3 Finely Grated Carrots
- 5 tsp of Oil
- 3 tsp of Butter
- 3 tsp of Curd
- salt as Per Needed
- half tsp Turmeric Powder
- 2 tsp of Besan
- 2 finely Chopped Green Chili
- Some Coriander Leaves
- 2 small Garlics
- ½ tsp Powdered Jeera
- ½ tsp Masala Powder
- 1 tsp red Chili Powder
- ½ tsp Extract of Lemon
Total Preparation Time 15 minutes Total Cooking Time 25 minutes Servings 4 How to make Carrot Paratha
- Heat up a pan and put 3 tsp oil on it.
- Add in the finely chopped carrot and fry it till it becomes soft.
- Now keep carrots aside and add 2 tsp of oil in pan.
- Drop green chilies, garlic, jeera powder, masala powder, turmeric powder, red chili powder and coriander leaves into the pan and stir for a minute.
- Take 2 cups of whole wheat flour, 2 tsp of besan and 3 tsp of butter and equal quantity of curd in a bowl.
- Add in the cooked carrots and masala to the bowl and some salt to taste and drop some lemon extract and prepare the dough. Add water if necessary.
- Make small lemon size balls out of the dough and roll them round parathas.
- Put the rolled parathas one by one on the pre-heated pan and roast them by applying oil/butter on both the sides.
