Dainik Bhaskar News Paper
Dainik Bhaskar is a daily Hindi-language newspaper of India, which is published by D B Corporation Ltd. This paper was launched in the year of 1958 from the capital of Madhya Pradesh, Bhopal. Currently, Kalpesh Ygnaik, its national editor, who manages its operation from its state capital, Bhopal. It launched its first business daily, Business Bhaskar, in the language of Hindi on June 27th 2008. As per the year of 2011, Business Bhaskar is the greatest business daily in the language of Hindi and comprises of nine editions. These nine editions are published from Jaipur, Chandigarh, Ludhiana, Jalandar, Panipat, Raipur, Indore, Bhopal and Delhi. The founding editor of this paper is Yatish K Rajawat. It was first published in Gwalior and Bhopal lying in the central province. It was first started in the year of 1956 for fulfilling the requirements of Hindi language paper by the name of Good Morning in the city of Gwalior and Subah Savere in the city of Bhopal. In the year of 1957, it was rechristened as Bhaskar Samachar. In the year of 1958, it was rechristened as Dainik Bhaskar. In the year of 2010, it was regarded as Number one newspaper in the country and number 11 in the world in terms of its propagation. In the year of 1995, this paper had removed Naiduniya as number one daily in the state of Madhya Pradesh. This daily took plunge to extend itself out of Madhya Pradesh and recognized the pink city, Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan as the place of market with the greatest potential. The target of this paper was to make entry into Jaipur as number 2 paper in terms of its propagation with 50, 000 copies on day first. For achieving this target, this paper surveyed about 200,000 readers of newspaper in Jaipur. To avoid outsourcing of this task, it established a team consisting of 700 surveyors. This team was vigorously trained for the engagement of the customer and was further given training by qualified professionals in rules, social norms, approach methods, posture, grooming, body language etc. Being dependent on the feedback of the survey, they approached each and every household to exhibit them a prototype of the paper and equipped them with the option for signing an advanced subscription. The customers were given subscription price of Rs. 1.50 against the assigned price of Rs. 2. They were also allowed to refund the amount in case of having dissatisfaction. When the first launch of this paper out of MP happened in the city of Jaipur on December 19th 1996, it made its entry into the market as number one paper, having 172,347 copies. Rajasthan Patrika, which was considered number, had a propagation of about 100,000 copies during that time. Chandigarh was its next target. It launched a customer survey on January 2000, thereby covering 220,000 readerships. During that time the English newspapers in Chandigarh were sold six times more than Hindi newspapers. The survey of Dainik Bhaskar revealed that people of Chandigarh liked English newspaper more due to better quality. Consequently, the paper focused on design and adopted the dialect of Chandigarh in its design, thereby mixing English and Hindi. This Dainik Bhaskar made its entry into Haryana as number one with 271,000 copies on first day.
According to Audit Bureau of Circulation, Divya Bhaskar is the greatest propagated daily in the state of Gujarat. It has the highest number of editions in the state of Gujarat. This paper is published from Bhavnagar, Mehsana, Bhuj, Jamnagar, Rajkot, Surat, Baroda and Ahmadabad. In the year of 2004, the company started DNA, the English newspaper in the city of Mumbai in collaboration with the Zee Group. This English newspaper, DNA is published from Jaipur, Ahmadabad, Pune, Bangalore and Mumbai. This English newspaper is the second highest newspaper in Mumbai according to Indian Readership survey. In the year of 1996, Dainik Bhaskar had a propagation of nearly 350,000 copies in the state of Madhya Pradesh. Later, in the year of 2004 this number increased more by 1000% to become 3.5 million in six provinces. In the year of 2006, it was started at Jalandhar and Amritsar at the same time with 178,000 copies.
