The Arts Trust is basically the Institute that embodies the Contemporary art of India. This is the gallery that is ICIA based and is situated in Bombay that was opened by VickramSethi who was the Arts Trust’s Director. This gallery is the contemporary art gallery. This gallery is present in the District Kala Ghoda that is the heart of Bombay. The total area captured by this gallery is about 7,000 square feet. This trust has been promoting the Contemporary arts of India since 1990. Near about 150 exhibitions has already been conducted by this Arts trust.
This trust has done the Harmony show that is the impressive art show that is being sponsored by the textile division of the Reliance Industries Limited for the period of 10 years.
History
This arts trust was established in 1990 by MrVickramSethi. Since than this trust is continuously working for the promotion of the Contemporary art of India.
The main focus of this trust is promoting the innovative art by the younger artists as well as established one. From the last period of 5 years there is the tremendous growth of the visitors because in past years there is great enhancement in the interest of the people in contemporary art.
In 1990 when this trust was established at that time only the people who have the keen interest this art have developed the gallery for watching the work done by the new artists. The number of the people taking interest in this is increasing day by day since a very long period and has become larger now.
All the shows that are being organized by this trust includes the large events having enormous audience and also small events like the single evening shows that are being organized for few people. Other than the exhibitions of art organized by this trust showcasing the creativity and the talent of wide range it is also providing the people who are the lovers of art and patrons the opportunities in different genres. Along with the market reach and the amalgamation of the appreciation of the art work of India and the deep knowledge this trust has curated its shows in almost 150 exhibitions and with the span of time has developed itself the best Combining a deep knowledge and appreciation of Indian art with market reach, The Arts Trust has curated over 150 exhibitions and has with the passage of time, established itself as the best resource for the art work of India that is best in quality by the distinguished artists.
