Tadiandamol
The highest mountain located in district Kodagu of state of Karnataka is named as Tadiandamol. This peak has been ranked as third highest peak of the state of Karnataka. The mountain is stands in the range of the Western Ghat and is as high as 1748 meters. The place is majorly visited by those who have interest in trekking and have inclination towards environment. The valley formed by this mountain is covered majorly by the shola forest. The peak gives an eye catching view from the top to its trekkers.
The other landmark near to this mountain is the Nalaknad palace that is located at the base of the mountain. This palace formed one of the major parts while the survey of Great Trigonometric was done. The palace has been constructed during the reign of Dodda Veerarajendra in 1792 and the trekkers can stay at this palace during their trekking expedition. This palace has two levels and is located on a swift crest that cannot be reached simply. The location of the palace is such that during the historical times this palace was one of the shelters that the kings could take to secure themselves from the army. The palace during the current times is under the protection of state archaeological department and serves as the bee-keeping centre.

The best time to visit the place is from the month of December to month of May while the most favourable time to trek is during the period of early winters.
