Osmanabad district is located in the state of Maharashtra state. The headquarters of the district is situated at Osmanabad.

The district covers an area of about seven thousand five hundred and twelve square kilometers. The Lok Sabha constituency of the district is at Osmanabad. Rabi and kharif both are grown in the district. The major crops of the district are Tur, Sugar cane, hybrid jawar, gram, sunflower, jowar and many more.

The district is extremely hot from the month of February to the month of June. The maximum temperature of the region reaches forty two degree. The rainy season of the district commences from the middle of June and continues till the month of September. The district has humid climate in the month of October. From November to January the district has a very cool and dry climate. During this time the minimum temperature drops down to eight degrees.
