Unique place owning so many natural resources, Sidhi is famous district known for the different subtext. Sone River passes through it to offer maximum benefit to inhabitants. Its coal deposits are abundant that fulfills countrywide needs of such kinds. The district is divided into six tehsils Gopad Banas, Churhat, Rampur Naikin, Majhauli, Kusmi and Sihawal. Vidhan Sabha constituencies Churhat, Sidhi, Sihawal and Dhauhani are part of this district’s lone Sidhi Lok Sabha constituency.

Sidhi district distinguishes itself with socio-cultural diversity of its cultural amalgamation, so is it much noticed due to ethnic tribal culture. Wonderful places Kaimur, Kehejua and Ranimunda hills make it truly panoramic. They offer blistering scene through flowers, long forest ranges and landscapes. Today Sidhi is surrounded in northeast by Singrauli whereas Koriya district of neighboring Chhattisgarh state borders from east. Western border is covered by Rewa district. 2001 census recorded total population of Sidhi at 18,31,152. As part of Rewa Division of MP state, Sidhi is administered from its headquarters in Sidhi town.
