Sehore district, earlier Sidhhapur, has good reasons for fast prosperity in MP. Its connection with the Western Railway on Bhopal to Ratlam line proves worthy for overall progress. With total area of 6578 Km it is a diversified district. Look back at its history and see Sehore’s glorious past. Bifurcation of Sehore district in 1972 was done to carve Bhopal district from it. Other districts Bhopal, Raisen, Hoshangabad, Dewas, Shajapur, Rajgarh, and Harda shares their borders with Sehore today. As it is primarily a tribal region its traditional Bhavai dance attracts many, so is noticed Bagoria dance of this district besides drum beating and vigorous Holi festival celebrated with much fun. This area is known for its unique run away marriage culture by tribal girls and boys.
