Time to prepare 10 minutes Time to cook 15 minutes Serves 4 serves Ingredients For Whole Lentil Curry
- Dry Brown Lentils- ¾ cup
- Dry Red Lentils- ¼ cup
- Water- 4 cups
- Garlic Cloves- 5
- Salt- 1 tbsp
- Ground Coriander- half tbsp
- Cayenne Pepper- half tbsp
- Ground Turmeric- half tbsp
- Clarified Butter- 2 tbsp
- Sliced Onion- 1
- Cumin- 1 tbsp
- Milk- ¼ cup
- Fresh Cilantro- 1 tbsp
How to make Whole Lentil Curry
- First you soak red and brown lentils for 2 hr. after that drain and rinse.
- After that you can take a large sauce pan and place drained lentils with water into it. Now you can mix garlic, coriander, turmeric, salt, and cayenne. Then you should bring to boil on high gas for 20 minutes until lentils become tender.
- When the lentils cook, you can take other sauce pan and pour butter on medium gas. After that you can mix with onions, until it become brown in color.
- Now you can add onions and milk into lentils and cook for 10 minutes.
- For sprinkle you can use cilantro and serve it with hot.
