Cabbage Pulao
Brief Description
Cabbage pulao is a delicious and healthy Indian food recipe. And it is prepared with the combination of rice and cabbage. The main ingredients include mustard seeds, urad dal, asafetida, curry leaves, red chilies, onions, turmeric powder, lemon juice nad chana dal.
Time to prepare 10 minutes Time to cook 10 minutes Serves 2 serves Ingredients For Cabbage Pulao
- Steamed Rice- 1 cup
- Shredded Cabbage- 1 cup
- Mustard Seeds – half tbsp
- Urad Dal – half tbsp
- Asafetida- a pinch
- Curry Leaves- 4 to 5
- Dry Kashmiri Red Chillies- 3
- Onions- ¼ cup
- Turmeric Powder- a pinch
- Lemon Juice- half tbsp
- Chana Dal- ¼ cup
- Oil- 1 tbsp
- Salt for Tasting
- Chopped Coriander- 1 tbsp
How to make Cabbage Pulao
- First you take a non stick pan and heat it with mustard seeds and allow them to crackle.
- After that you can add asafetida, dry red chilies, urad dal and curry leaves and cook it for 2 minutes.
- Then you can add turmeric powder and onions and cook for another 2 minutes.
- After that you can add chana dal, water, cabbage and salt and cook it for 5 minutes on a low gas.
- Now you can add lemon juice and rice and stir fine and cook it for 5 minutes with cover by lid.
- For garnishing you can use chopped coriander and serve with hot.
