Origin
In the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh, several converse and multilingual languages are spoken. The most common language in Himachal Pradesh is Pahari and Hindi. Himachali language is also spoken widely by number of residents in Himachal and its nearby regions. Other languages spoken are Dogri, Punjabi, Kangri and Kinnauri. Moreover Himachali is claimed as the official language of Himachal Pradesh. This language is an old derivative of Sanskrit language. Also in Himachal Pradesh, apart from Himachali language, Hindi is also spoken widely. Furthermore the government stated that in Himachal Pradesh Himachali Language will be use in the academic curriculum as a compulsory subject and also people will be encouraged in learning and using it in professional spectrum. Additionally the people of this state use Pahari language more. This Himachali language is derived from ancient Sanskrit and Prakrit words. Moreover this language is divided in three forms that are Eastern Himachali, Western Himachali and Northern Himachali. The Western part of Himachal Pradesh uses this language as its primary and native mother tongue.
Dialects
The Himachali dialects of Keonthali and Sirmauri are spoken in Shimla region whereas the other Himachali dialects like Churahi, Mandeali, Chambiali and Kuluhi are spoken in Himachal Pradesh.
