Manipur Loktak Lake
Loktak lake is one of the largest lake of Manipur state in India. It is one of the freshwater lakes of the north eastern region. It is the natural habitat for the aquatic plant and the animal. The Loktak lake is dotted by the large number of Phoomdis. The visitor can find the phoomdis as it keeps on floating on the lake. Phoomdis are the vegetative growth. This lake is one of the major attraction for the visitor as n it keeps attracting to the large number of visitor from the worldwide. There are many major attraction place in the Manipur like Loktak lake along with the Keibul lamjao Nationla Park on the south end of the lake. This lake was listed for the wetland international importance in the year of 1990 by the Ramsar Convention. The important island to visit is the Sandra and the Phubala.
History

This lake has the several islands inside it like Sendra and the Phubala. The sendra tourist home which is on the island have the attached cafeteria facility. And in the middle of the lake is the ideal tourist spot. Phubala island which is 40 km away from the imphal city.

The Loktak Lake is situated 48 km away from the centre city of Imphal. It is along with the Tidim road. It is well linked with road and the air mode. The lake is the unique destination for the visitor.
