Himachal Pradesh Lama Dal
Lake Lama Dal is situated at an altitude of 12,000 feet. It is about 30 miles east of Chamba very near too the historic Balaini pass. Here you will be able to witness the seven tarns. This particular tarn is considered to be the largest in this group and also all over the district. It has an approximate radius of one and a half miles. It is because of this that it is known as a Lamba Dal meaning long lake. The pronunciation is Lama Dal by the natives. In this slake you can visit the small Shiva temple.

Bhuri Singh Museum: This museum was opened to the public on 14th September 1908. The museum has been named after the late Raja Bhuri Singh. It is located very near Chamba's Chaugan.
Champawati Temple: It is a sikhara temple made of stone built in the honor of Goddess Champavati. It was after that it was named after her.
Chaurashi Temple: Ganesh, Lakshmi Devi, Nar Sing in Bharmour and Manimahesh are the main temples which are called the Chaurashi mandirs.
Lakshmi Narayan Temple: Â On the northern side of Chamba you can find six Sikhara temples built of stone which have been formed as a row from north to south. Out of these six temples three have been built in the memory of Vishnu and three in the memory of Lord Shiva. The northernmost is of Lakshmi- Narayana which is the main temple of Chamba.
Kalatope Khajjiar Sanctuary: This is a famous trekking place about 30 kilometers from Dalhousie to Chamba from the eastern side of the city from Gandhi Chowk. You will have to meander your way through a steep ascent which will take you to the wildlife sanctuary from where you can enjoy a pleasant trekking experience.
Pangi Valley: It is also known as Pir Panjal by geologists and Pangi Range by common people and is an extension of the main Himalayas entering the Himachal on the East of Bushahr. It divides the city of Chamba into two unequal parts and separates these from each other. The Northern or smaller section is known as Pangi and Chamba Lahaul.
This lake is ideal for enjoying the natural beauty. You can not only enjoy the lake views but also relax and feel free from the tensions of life. History
There is no history of the lake available but it is considered to be a sacred lake in the memory of Lord Shiva and this lake lies in between bare rock.
How To Reach
The lake is situated some 45 kilometers away from Chamba town and is situated some 20 kilometers from Dainkund (Dayankund). If you are coming by air the nearest airport is situated in Gaggal in the Kangra valley about 180 kilometers from Chamba region. If you are coming by rail then Chamba town is 122k kilometers away from Pathankot. It is one of the closest broad gauge railway line which is connected by direct railway links to Amritsar, Delhi, Bombay and Calcutta. Chamba region and the lake are well connected by road also.
