Steamed Thai Fish
Brief Description
Steamed Thai Fish is a very tasty recipe and really easy to prepare. This recipe can be prepared with either whole fish or fish fillets. Learn how to prepare this recipe at home with this simple recipe provided here.
Preparation Time 15 mins Cooking Time 15 mins Serves 4 Ingredients For Steamed Thai Fish
- Any meaty white fish- 1(400-500g)
- Scallions cut into 1 inch pieces- 2
- Chopped chlies-5
- Chopped garlic cloves- 6
- Fish sauce- 2 tbsp
- Lime juice 4 tbsp
- Chicken stock- ½ cup
- Coriander leaves
How To Make Steamed Thai Fish
- Wash and clean the fish. Make incisions on the fish, so that it can be cooked easily. Put fish on a heat proof plate which can also be put into a steamer.
- Boil water in a steamer and place the prepared fish in it and leave for 15 minutes.
- Take a medium bowl and chilies, garlic, chicken stock, scallions and fish sauce. Mix it all well.
- Take out the steamed fish from steamer and pour over the sauce on it.
- Use coriander leaves to garnish and serve it hot with steamed rice.

Some Useful Tips
- You can use a banana leaf to serve this recipe on. Just place the steamed fish on banana leaf and pour sauce over it. Make sure you rinse the banana leaf before using it as that will not only clean it but also make it look greener.
