Shahi Fish
Brief Description
Shahi Fish is a royal recipe from India. This famous recipe is very rich and spicy in nature. Follow the given below steps to prepare this recipe in a simple manner.
Preparation Time 15 mins Cooking Time 15 mins Serves 4 Ingredients For Shahi Fish
- Fish-2
- Chopped Onions- 2
- Oil- 5 tbsp
- Fresh Cream- 1 tbsp
- Cumin Seeds- ½ tsp
- Garlic Flakes- 6
- Asafetida- ¼ tsp
- Oil
- Salt as needed
Paste of:
- Ginger- 1 tbsp
- Cashew nuts- 7
- Dry Coconut- ½ cup
- Poppy Seeds- ½ tbsp
Powder of:
- Red Chili Powder- 2 tsp
- Coriander Powder- 2 tsp
- Turmeric Powder- ½ tsp
- Cumin Seed Powder- 1 tsp
How To Make Shahi Fish
- Cut the fish into pieces.
- Wash and clean the pieces of fish.
- Heat up the oil in a frying pan and fry the fish pieces till it is golden brown in color.
- Take another pan and heat 1 tbsp oil. Drop in onions and fry till they turn golden brown.
- Remove the onions and add cumin seeds and asafetida into the pan.
- Once the seeds splutter add in the pastes and allow all it to cook on low flames for 3 min after adding 3 tbsp water.
- Sprinkle salt and all the powders.
- Keep frying till oil starts coming out of spices.
- Let it simmer for another 3-4 min. Add the fish pieces.
- Drop in cream and mix well.
- Serve hot straight from the pan.
