Salmon Pulusu
Brief Description
Salmon Pulusu is a type of Indian fish curry made with salmon in Indian spices. To Make salmon pulusu at home in a simple manner, follow this recipe.
Preparation Time 15 mins Cooking Time 15 mins Serves 4 Ingredients For Salmon Pulusu
- 1kg salmon(cut into small pieces)
- ½ cup peanut oil
- 3 medium size chopped onions
- 5 split green chilies
- 2 medium size tomatoes
- 3 tsp ginger-garlic paste
- 4 powdered cloves
- ½ cardamom powder
- 3 tsp coriander powder
- 3-4 tbsp tamarind concentrate
- 2 tsp red chili powder
- ½ tsp turmeric powder
- Salt as needed
- Coriander leaves for garnishing
How To Make Salmon Pulusu
- Take tomatoes and grind them. Wash the pieces of fish in lemon and salt water. Combine 1 ½ tsp coriander powder, 1 tsp chili powder, 1 ½ tsp ginger- garlic paste and the fish pieces. Set it aside for 15 minutes.
- Take a pan and heat oil on medium flames. Put in onions and green chilies. Fry them till the onions are golden brown in color and add the rest of chili powder, ginger-garlic paste, coriander powder, fish pieces and salt to taste. Fry for another five minutes. Drop in ground tomatoes and tamarind concentrate mixed with 2 cups of water. Bring it all to a boil and lower the heat to let it simmer of 15 min.
- Sprinkle clove, cardamom powder and coriander leaves and cook for another five minutes. Let the curry cool down for twenty minutes and then serve along with hot plain rice.
