Grilled Tilapia
Brief Description
Grilled Tilapia is a spicy roasted fish recipe which is very yummy in taste. Follow this simple procedure to learn the preparation of Grilled Tilapia.
Preparation Time 15 minutes Cooking Time 15 minutes Serves 4 Ingredients For Grilled Tilapia
- extra-virgin olive oil-one third cup
- lemon juice-1 tbsp
- minced fresh parsley-1 tbsp
- Minced garlic- 1 clove
- dried basil-1 tsp
- ground black pepper-1 tsp
- salt-1/2 tsp
- tilapia steaks-2
- Ripe mango, peeled and chopped-1 large
- Diced red bell pepper-half
- minced red onion-2 tbsp
- chopped fresh cilantro-1 tbsp
- Minced and seeded jalapeno pepper-one
- lime juice-2 tbsp
- lemon juice-1 tbsp
- Add pepper and salt to taste
How To Make Grilled Tilapia
- Firstly mix 1 tbsp lemon juice, garlic, basil, 1 tsp pepper, half tsp salt, parsley and extra virgin olive oil altogether in a bowl and place it in a plastic bag.
- Now add tilapia steaks in it and put marinade solution coating over it
- Now remove all the excess air from the plastic bag and seal it again.
- Now season it in the fridge for about one hour.
- Mix mango, jalapeno pepper, cilantro, red bell pepper and red onion in a bowl to prepare mango salsa.
- Then add 1 tbsp lemon juice and lime juice in it and mix it well. Now marinate with pepper and salt according to taste and keep it in fridge till it gets ready to serve.
- The roaster should be preheated on a medium-high flame and grate should be slightly oiled.
- Finally take out the tilapia from the salt solution and remove excess of solution from it.
- Remove the remaining solution. And roast the steaks properly till the fishes loses its transparent nature and can be easily peeled off with fork,
- Do this for about 3- 4 minutes on each side .
- Dish is prepared and can be served with mango salsa.
