Tamarind Chutney Recipe
Brief Description
Tamarind chutney is famously known as imli ki chutney in India. This chutney has a sweet-n-sour taste. You can make this chutney at home by following the simple guidelines provided below.
Time to Prepare 35 minutes Cooking Time 20 minutes Serves 0 Ingredients For Tamarind Chutney
- Tamarind- 200gm
- grated Jaggery- 300gm
- Roasted cumin Powder- 2 tsp
- Red chili powder- 2 tsp
- Salt as required
- Black salt- 1 tsp
- Garam masala- 1 tsp
How To MakeTamarind Chutney
- Take a cooking pot and fill it with 5cups of water. Put in the tamarind and cook for ten min.
- Now remove all excess water and add chili powder, jaggery, cumin powder, garam masala and salt. Mix it all well.
- On put it on flames again and cook till jaggery completely dissolves.
- Now take out the tamarind pulp from the mixture.
- Tamarind chutney is ready.
Some Useful Tips
- This chutney thickens more when cooled so keep that in mind while checking for consistency.
