Spicy Carrot Chutney Recipe
Brief Description
Spicy carrot chutney is very spicy chutney with lots of spice in it. It is nice bright orange in color and with almonds as 1 of the ingredients is quite rich too. Follow the recipe mentioned below to make this recipe at home.
Time to Prepare 30 minutes Cooking Time 60 minutes Serves 0 Ingredients for Spicy Carrot Chutney
- Carrot- ½ kg
- Red chili pepper- 15 gm
- fresh Ginger- 30 gm
- Garlic- 2 cloves
- blanched Almonds- 8
- Raisins- 60 grams
- Salt to taste
- Sugar- 360 grams
- crushed Cardamoms- ¾ tsp
- Vinegar- 1 ½ cups
- Water- 1 cup
How to make Spicy Carrot Chutney
- Carrots need to be washed and scraped before being grated. Also cut up garlic and ginger into long strips.
- Now take a pan and boil water in it. Put in grated carrot, ginger and garlic and let it all simmer on slow flames. Keep stirring till water has evaporated.
- Add sugar, vinegar, salt, almonds, raisins, crushed cardamoms and cook it for a minute or two.
- Now take it out in a clean jar and put on the lid. It should be ready for serving in 2 days
