Spring Chicken Dum Roast
Brief Description
Spring chicken dum roast is a delicious chicken recipe and can be prepared easily at home. Follow this simple procedure to prepare spring chicken dum roast.
Preparation Time 20 mins Cooking Time 30 mins Serves 4 Ingredients for Spring Chicken Dum Roast
- Whole chicken-1
- Red chilies-6
- Saunf (fennel) seeds-10g
- Garam masala-15g
- Ginger-garlic paste-20g
- Cilantro-1 bunch
- Soya sauce-1 tbsp
- Oil-150g
- Add Salt according to taste
How to make Spring Chicken Dum Roast
- Firstly wash and clean the chicken properly without taking off the skin
- Now take a pan and fry some garam masala, saunf and 2 red chilies in it and make it in a paste form with help of ginger garlic and cilantro.
- Now add soya sauce and some salt to this prepared paste and apply this paste on the chicken from all sides and keep it aside for 2hrs.
- Now tie both the legs tightly with a thread and the thread left should be pulled through stomach region and around the portion of wings so that the chicken remains close and wrapped up.
- Now take a big deep pan and heat some oil in it and then fry the chicken in it till it turns golden brown in color.
- Now finally remove the chicken from the pan and put it in a separate pan having small amount of oil in it.
- Now spray some water on the chicken and cook it on steam for just about 15mins

Some Useful Tips
If you are thinking of preparing garlic, fresh chilli and ginger pastes at home, then make sure you add tablespoon of canola/hot vegetable/ sunflower cooking oil to the paste and mix it well this will ensure a longer life for the paste prepared. Refrigerate and use it as per your requirement.
