Crispy Fried Chicken
Brief Description
This is an excellent recipe which is easy and simple to prepare. The batter preparation is very easy too. It can be eaten as either snacks or meals when served with coleslaw or mashed potatoes.
Preparation Time 15 mins Cooking Time 30 mins Serves 4 Ingredients for Crispy Fried Chicken
- Chicken cut into pieces- 1 whole
- Buttermilk- 1 cup
- All purpose flour for coating- 2 cups
- Paprika- 1 tsp
- Pepper and salt as needed
- Vegetable oil for frying- 4 quartz
How to make Crispy Fried Chicken
- Take plastic bag and put the flour in it. Season the flour with paprika, pepper and salt as required.
- Take the already cut up chicken pieces and dip them into buttermilk and then put them into the bag with flour. Seal them all in and shake to coat well. Let it sit for some time and cover it with a cloth or wax paper.
- Fill a wok up to half with oil. Make sure oil is very hot and drop in as many chicken pieces as it can hold. Fry till all the chicken is brown on both sides. When they are brown on both sides reduce the level of flames and cover the wok and let the chicken pieces cook from inside for 30 minutes. After that increase the flames again and set to frying chicken pieces till they are crispy on both sides.
- Soak up the excess oil from the chicken using paper towels.
