Chili Chicken Indo Chinese
Brief Description
One of the most popular Chinese dishes which have been adapted in India is chili chicken. It is immensely popular and goes well along with fried rice or noodles.
Preparation Time 25 mins Cooking Time 30-45 mins Serves 4 Ingredients for Chili Chicken Indo Chinese
- Boneless chicken- 500 g
- Soy sauce- 1 tbsp
- Egg- 1
- Corn flour- 1 tbsp
- Chopped green chilies- 5
- Chopped green onions- 2
- Garlic paste-1 tsp
- Salt as needed
- White pepper powder- ½ tsp
- Sugar- 1tsp
- Ajinomoto- a pinch
- Chicken broth/ stock- 2 cups
- Oil- 1 tbsp
How to make Chili Chicken Indo Chinese
- Chicken needs to be cut into small cubes.
- Take 1tbsp. Soya sauce, 1tbsp. corn flour, salt, egg in a bowl and marinate chicken pieces in the mixture for about 10-15 minutes. Take 1 tbsp corn flour, 1tbsp soy sauce, egg and salt in bowl and marinate the chicken pieces in this mixture. Keep it aside for 10-15 minutes.
- Heat oil in a pan and deep fry the chicken till they are golden brown.
- Now in a separate pan heat 1tbsp oil and sauté some green chilies and garlic paste.
- Pour over 2 cups of chicken stock, bring it to a boil and add pepper powder, sugar, salt, soy sauce and Ajinomoto.
- Toss in already fried chicken pieces into it and let it cook for a while
- Take the corn flour and mix it with ½ cup water and add it slowly in the curry and keep stirring constantly to avoid formation of lumps.
- Let it cook for 3 minutes.
- Garnish it with green onion. Chili chicken Indo Chinese is ready to b served.
- It goes really well with steamed rice or noodles.

Some Useful Tips
- Use spices as per your requirement.
- Ajinomoto is a taste enhancer; you may or may not use it.
- You can also use some coloring to get that fiery red look.
