Information About Allahabad High Court -

Allahabad High Court has the distinction of being one of the first high court established in India. In official parlance it is called the High Court of Judicature at Allahabad. Although it was first founded at Agra to oversee the judicial control of the North Western Provinces in British India, it was later shifted to Allahabad with due change in name on March11, 1919.

After independence Allahabad High Court became the highest seat of justice of the state of Uttar Pradesh when it became part of the Republic of India in 1950.
