Ralam Glacier
One of the most essential and major Himalayan glaciers termed Ralam Glacier is established in the district of Uttarkhand on the peaks of Pithogarh, India, near Ralam Dhura. For making the long journey Munisiyari serves as the foundation, which serves as the foul of Himalayan Wall and is settled at an apex of 7510 ft. which is over sea level. The Ralam Glacier would technically be branched with almost two sectors namely Upper Ralam, the topmost and lower Ralam is the Lower rung. It extends for about 15km to arrive at Ralam Glacier from the Munisiyari. This glacier is delightful to watch and is settled in the district of Pithogarhin the Munisiyari Tehsil which lies within the region of Kumauni state Uttarkhand, India.
Geology
This elegant glacier is situated at the hillock of 2290 metres over sea level nearby Ralam Khal. Taking into consideration the characteristics of Ralam, they are split into two topmost Ralam and lowermost Ralam. The provocative part is Kalabaland, Vangchar and Sutela are the three other glaciers and which stays at the foundation of Great Himalayan is the Ralam Glacier. The compelling trek to Ralam is not an easy or effortless job, since it’s a long journey to Ralam, 50km. To enjoy this trek, one must keep apart 10 day’s complete and solely to this lusty peak Glacier.
Tourism
The ultimate elevation of this long journey over sea level would be 3900metres.From Munisiyari it is approximately 50km long trek to Ralam Glacier. During this journey, the important harbour to stop at would be Panton, Sapa-Odiyar and Lilam. From the village of Rilam it’s a 15KM long trek to Glacier but is near to Sapa-Odiyar.
The dominant harbour is Nainital, Delhi and Kathgodam is linked with Munisiyari. Adjacent to Airport is Naini Saini and nearby railhead is Kathgodam.
