Beas Kund

Beas Kund is one of the ancient Kund and its name has been derived by the name of Arjiki and Vipas. Ancient Greeks have been calling it Hyphasis. Its present name Beas is derived from Vyas, the author of Mahabharata. In fact, there are many Himachal Pradesh scholars who have been calling this as Vipasha. This word Kund is a Hindi word and it refers to the tiny lake. It is situated at upper and higher Solang valley and this is regarded as “heart of summer” and “winter heart in Manali”. Tourism

Its western part is amazingly magnificent and this would be getting accessed via tiny passes. This is one of the historic places and it is also a belief that Sage Vyas have performed all its daily proceedings and this is also one of the sacred places for Hindus. Its starting point is River Beas Majestic and it is also sheltered by the igloo, similar to a stone like formation.
