Bara Shigri
Bara Shigri is regarded as one of the largest glaciers and it is situated in Himachal Pradesh. Moreover, this is also regarded as one of the longest glaciers in the whole world. This has been located in Lahaul Chandra valley and it is continuously feeding to Chenab River. It emerges through the mountains that are present on the left bank of Chenab. This is very long and its snout reaches down till river and it is lying athwart to customary road that starts from Kullu and ends at Spiti. Estimations can be different regarding the breadth of this glacier, owing to the simple reasons of roughness and movement.
