Pakoras
Brief Description
Think of a name of Pakoras and your mouth starts filling with water. Yes, pakoras are favorite of all, whether it is made from potato or onion or any kind of stuff. Accompany it with tea or coffee, or even serve it with coriander chutney or pudina chutney.
Preparation Time 15 mins Cooking Time 25 mins Number Of Serves 4 Ingredients for Pakoras
- Chickpea flour - 1 cup
- Coriander seeds - 1/2 tsp
- Salt - 1 tsp
- Ground turmeric - 1/2 tsp
- Chili powder - 1/2 tsp
- Garam Masala - 1/2 tsp
- Crushed garlic cloves - 2
- Water - 3/4 cup
- For deep frying – oil
- Cauliflower florets - 1/2 head
- Ring style sliced onions - 2
How To Make Pakoras
- Take a bowl. Add besan into it. Mix salt, chili powder, garlic, coriander, garam Masala, and turmeric.
- Mix all the ingredients properly. Add water gradually into the mixture and make a amooth batter from it.
- Now take a shallow sauce pan. Add oil into it. Heat the oil over a high flame.
- Now add cauliflower pieces and also onion pieces into the batter. Coat them with the batter and put them into the hot oil. Fry them until golden brown in color.
- Now take out the pakoras from oil and put them on tissue paper to drain out all the access oil from the pakoras.
- Serve hot along with chutney or sauce.

Some Useful Tips
-
Make sure that oil will not be too hot, otherwise pakoras will not be crispy and if oil is not hot enough then pakoras will become greasy.
