Makki Ki Roti
Brief Description
Makki ki roti is famous north Indian corn bread. It is served straight from heat with a generous topping of butter. It is usually accompanied by sarson ka saag. Learn how to make this Punjabi special recipe by following the recipe given below.
Preparation Time 15 mins Cooking Time 30 mins Number Of Serves 4 Ingredients for Makki Ki Roti
- Corn Flour- 2 cups
- Radish, Grated- 1
- Salt as required
- Lukewarm water
How To Make Makki Ki Roti
- Take corn flour and knead it with lukewarm water.
- Add some salt and grated radish to the dough while still kneading.
- Use plastic films for rolling out the dough. Put a ball on it and cover with another film and gently press with hands to make a roti.
- The roti should be thicker than a normal roti. Remove the plastic films and place the roti on the griddle (tawa) for cooking. Cook from both sides till done.
- Apply ghee if needed.
