Chicken Makhani
Brief Description
Chicken Makhani is a famous and delicious chicken recipe. To prepare this delicious recipe all you need to do is follow this simple procedure.
Preparation Time 15 mins Cooking Time 30 mins Number Of Serves 4 Ingredients for Chicken Makhani
- 800 grams of chicken
- One teaspoon kashmiri red chilli powder
- Add salt according to taste
- One tablespoon lemon juice
For Marinade
- One cup yogurt
- One teaspoon kashmiri red chilli powder
- Add salt as per your taste
- Two tablespoon ginger paste
- Two tablespoon lemon juice
- Two tablespoon garlic paste
- Half teaspoon garam masala powder
- Two spoon mustard oil
- 2 tablespoon butter
For Makhani Gravy
- 400 grams of tomato puree
- Three tablespoon butter
- One teaspoon green chillies
- Half teaspoon kasoori methi
- Half cup fresh cream
- One tablespoon ginger paste
- One tablespoon red chilli powder
- Add salt according to taste
- One tablespoon whole garam masala
- Half teaspoon garam masala powder
- Two tablespoon sugar/ honey
- One tablespoon garlic paste
How to Make Chicken Makhani
- Firstly properly wash and clean the chicken and then with the help of a sharp knife put a mark on leg pieces and breast of chicken.
- Put mixture of red chilli powder, salt and lemon juice on the chicken and keep it aside for about 1hr.
- Place some yogurt in a tight muslin cloth and hang it for round about 15 to 20mins so that it soaks all the water.
- Now add red chilli powder, ginger-garlic paste, garam masala, mustard oil, salt and lemon juice to the mixture.
- Put this marinade solution on chicken pieces and allow it to freeze for about 3 to 4 hrs.
- Now place the chicken pieces on a skewer and stir fry it in a priorly heated oven for about 10 to 12mins.
- Now batter it with grease and start the stir fry process again and do this for about 2mins.
- Remove It from oven and leave it aside for sometime.
- Take a pan and heat it and mix some whole garam masala in the pan.
- Now add ginger-garlic paste and green chillies in the mixture and again stir fry for 2mins.
- Mix some red chilli powder, tomato puree, garam masala powder, water and salt in the mixture.
- Boil it for some time.
- Put it on low flame and boil it for about 10mins.
- Now add kasoori methi, honey and sugar to the mixture.
- Now Add the tandoori chicken pieces in the above prepared mixture.
- Heat it for about 5mins and then combine it with fresh cream.
- The recipe prepared can be served hot with naan or parantha.
