Height of this dam is 101 mtrs from foundation level and the length is 332mtr. This length is sufficient to prevent the area from diversion of stream of the River responsible to cause flood in the nearby areas. Live water storage capacity of the reservoir is 4115.25 M3. In this plant, two units for generation of Hydro electricity have been installed. Each unit is capable to generate 50 MW Hydro electricity during a calendar year. The grid depending on this dam is divided in four substations. Each substation is responsible to generate 542 units of power in a calendar year. This dam is located between the geographical coordinates 15°16′34″N 74°31′36″E. This dam is concrete gravity dam and reason being the height of the dam is restricted upto 101 mtrs. In this dam 3 radial gates have been provisioned for routine and controlled discharge of water. To generate the required electricity, Francis Turbines engines have been installed there. Total capacity of power generation of this dam is 100 MW per year. Catchment area of this dam is spread over in 1057 SQKM.
