St John In The Wilderness

St. John Church in Wilderness is one of the Anglican church which is dedicated to St. John, Baptist built in the year of 1852, situated near Dharamshala in India, on its way to the place called McLeodGanj, near Forsyth Gunj. The church is set in midst of deodar forest, & built in a neo-Gothic architecture, this church is also known because it’s windows made up of Belgian stained-glass which is donated by the Lady Elgin, wife of the Lord Elgin.

Though the structure of this church survived the earthquake in Kangra in the year of 1905, which killed around 19,800 people, & have injured thousands here in this area.
