History
One of the oldest existing churches in Bihar, Padri Ki Haveli or official “The Mansion of Padre and St Mary's Church” has rich history. It was in 1713AD that few Roman Catholics reached Bihar for the first time to lay the foundation of a small church in a place famous as Padri-ki-Haveli today. Father Joseph from Rovato built this church whose bell witnesses many inscriptions. Its close association with Mother Teresa is also valuable. She had finished apprenticeship in nursing from here itself.

A Venetian architect Tirreto came here from Kolkata in 1722 to prepare the current design of this church. With the length of 70 feet, 40 feet wide and 50 feet height the present church has huge foundation dimension.
With several inscriptions the pretty looking bell of this church speaks a lot about its glorious history. Late Mother Teresa made this church her home during the period she got trained in nursing.
