Tawang is world of mystical and captivating regions of the western most part of Arunachal Pradesh situated at the towering height up to 10,000fts over MSL bordering with Tibet to its north, Bhutan to its south west and Sela range of West Kameng towards the East.

Tawang is supposed to have got its name from the pretentious Tawang Monastery hovering on the border of the crest moving next to the western part of Tawang settlement. Ta means Horse and Wang means chosen.

This district has Monpa tribe residing in its lap following Buddhism as their religion. The main festivals in the region are Losar, Torgya. The main occupations of the area are Agriculture and Horticulture producing Potato, Cabbage, Maize, Millet, Kiwi, Apple & Orange etc. The basic live stocks available in the region are Yak, Sheep, Pony, and Cows & Goats.

Due to the fast transformations in the environment of the topography there are discrepancies in the weather circumstances in petite space.
